Matawalle frowns at female students’ abduction in Zamfara varsity
Dr. Mohammed Bello Matawalle (MON), the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, has frowned at the kidnapping of female students at Federal University Gusau.
While condemning the incident, the Honourable Minister of State for Defence expressed his profound condolences to the parents, academic community, and the whole populace of Zamfara State for the terrible kidnapping.
He said, “I share in your pain and strongly condemn this reprehensible act carried out by suspected bandits.”
While frowning at the incident in its entirety, he urged the nation’s dedicated security forces to step up their efforts and deploy all available resources to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.

He stated that all hands must be on deck in order to secure the release of the kidnapped pupils.
“As part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s eight-point agenda of strengthening national security for peace and prosperity, I condemn and vow to secure the release of the abducted students.”
Assuring the citizens of the state, Dr. Matawalle stated that the military’s air and ground components have already been heavily deployed throughout the state and that every precaution will be taken to protect the lives and property of all Nigerians.
He also assured citizens of the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property.
