NAF: Partial Gridlock as Nationwide Walk Begins

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced its annual 10-kilometer fitness walk, which may cause traffic congestion.
A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, noted that the event will take place at 6:00 AM on Saturday, November 4th.
“Abuja will be the starting point, with participants gathering at the NAF Base, Asokoro Football Field,” the statement read.
“From there, they will walk from the Defence Headquarters Roundabout to Keffi Road/Kugo Furniture And Pedestrian Bridge – Army Checkpoint Kugbo before returning to the base through the NAF Valley Second Gate.
“To ensure smooth exercise conduct, Gabkwet said partial traffic restrictions would be implemented along the designated routes.
“Exercises in other locations nationwide will also cover major routes near NAF Bases.
“Safety is the top priority, with all necessary measures in place to ensure a seamless and incident-free experience for participants.
“The Nigerian Air Force has urged the public, especially motorists and residents near AYA, Asokoro, and NAF Bases nationwide, to continue their daily activities without disruptions.
“With the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to promoting physical fitness and well-being, the annual 10-Kilometer Walk/Jog Exercise encourages a healthy lifestyle and fosters camaraderie and community spirit among its personnel.
