NAFOWA President Mrs. Ngozi Aneke Praises Mrs. Oghogho Gwabin Musa at DEPOWA Send-Forth Dinner
The President of the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA), Mrs. Ngozi Aneke, has paid glowing tribute to the immediate past President of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Oghogho Gwabin Musa, describing her tenure as one defined by compassion, impact, and purposeful leadership.

Mrs. Aneke spoke during the grand send-forth dinner organised in honour of Mrs. Musa by the incumbent DEPOWA President, Mrs. Mernan Oluyede. The event brought together wives of the Service Chiefs and prominent members of the military family community, reflecting unity and shared values among the Armed Forces’ spouses’ associations.
In her goodwill message, Mrs. Aneke commended Mrs. Musa for her unwavering dedication to the welfare of military families, particularly widows, children of fallen heroes, and vulnerable members of the defence and police communities. She noted that Mrs. Musa’s leadership went beyond ceremonial duties, leaving behind tangible humanitarian and empowerment initiatives that positively touched many lives.
According to the NAFOWA President, Mrs. Musa’s tenure strengthened collaboration among officers’ wives associations and set a high standard for service, empathy, and accountability. She described her as a leader who led with heart, humility, and vision, adding that her legacy would continue to inspire present and future leaders within the military family structure.
Mrs. Aneke also praised the spirit of continuity demonstrated by the incumbent DEPOWA President, Mrs. Mernan Oluyede, noting that the seamless transition reflects maturity and unity within the association. She expressed confidence that the foundations laid by Mrs. Musa would be further strengthened under the current leadership.
