NASENI Boss Commends Young Women’s Commitment to Technology Development
The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, has praised participants of the Every Girl 3.0 programme for their dedication to personal growth and technology-driven learning.
Speaking after the conclusion of the programme’s virtual session, Halilu said the initiative demonstrated that people are willing to invest in themselves when provided with the right opportunities, support, and access to knowledge.
According to him, the past two weeks saw young women consistently participate in the programme, showing enthusiasm to understand technology, explore new opportunities, and challenge themselves beyond their comfort zones.
He noted that the greatest obstacle to growth is often not a lack of talent, but limited exposure, inadequate access to opportunities, and hesitation to take the first step.
“The biggest barrier to growth is rarely talent. It is often exposure, access, and the decision to start,” he said.
The NASENI boss expressed satisfaction with the mindset displayed by participants, describing their commitment to learning and self-development as particularly inspiring in an era marked by numerous distractions.
Halilu emphasized that the value of the programme goes beyond the number of participants, highlighting the determination and willingness of the young women to embrace development and innovation.
He further stated that initiatives such as Every Girl 3.0 demonstrate the transformative impact of empowering individuals with knowledge, skills, and a supportive community.
According to him, while the virtual session has concluded, the learning journey for participants is only beginning, expressing confidence that the knowledge gained will contribute to their future success and advancement in technology and innovation.
