NASENI Presents Innovation Assessment Winners to SGF Akume
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has presented winners of its Innovation Assessment initiative to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON.
The presentation followed the innovation assessment conducted under the leadership of NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Khalil Halilu, aimed at identifying innovative ideas and talents across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government.
The initiative provides a platform for innovators within public institutions to showcase solutions capable of addressing national challenges and creating value for Nigeria.
According to NASENI, the Innovation Assessment is part of broader efforts by the agency to identify promising ideas, support innovators and transform innovative concepts into practical solutions with national impact.
The agency said other initiatives, including InnovateNaija and FutureMakers, are also designed to discover and nurture innovative talents across the country.
NASENI emphasised that Nigeria’s greatest potential lies in its people, stressing its determination to create opportunities for innovators to develop their ideas and contribute to national development.
The presentation to the SGF further highlighted the growing pool of innovative talent within Nigeria’s public institutions and the Federal Government’s efforts to promote science, technology and innovation as drivers of national development.
