NASENI Showcases Homegrown Technologies as Information Minister, Presidential Communications Team Visit Facilities
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has showcased its growing portfolio of homegrown technologies and industrial solutions during a high-level visit by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, FNIPR, and members of the Presidential Communications Team.
The delegation, hosted by NASENI Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Khalil Halilu, included the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga; Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman; partners and seasoned media professionals.
During the visit, the delegation toured five NASENI production facilities as well as the agency’s showroom, providing guests with an opportunity to see first-hand the technologies and industrial solutions being developed locally under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Halilu said the visit highlighted NASENI’s efforts to translate research, innovation and engineering into commercially viable products capable of strengthening local manufacturing and accelerating Nigeria’s industrial transformation.
He noted that the agency remains focused on developing an industrial ecosystem that promotes innovation, supports local production, creates economic opportunities and reduces dependence on imported technologies.
The NASENI chief executive expressed appreciation to Minister Mohammed Idris, members of the Presidential Communications Team, partners and media professionals for taking the time to visit the agency, engage with its work and offer valuable encouragement.
He said the support and interest demonstrated by the delegation would further strengthen NASENI’s determination to develop globally competitive technologies and industrial solutions capable of delivering lasting value to Nigerians.
The visit also underscored the Federal Government’s broader push to harness science, technology and innovation as key drivers of economic diversification, local manufacturing and sustainable national development.
