NASENI Takes Innovation, Enterprise Support to Ohafia, Targets Jobs, Stronger Businesses
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has taken its Nigerian Skills and Enterprise Programme (NSEP) to Ohafia, Abia State, as part of efforts to bring innovation, enterprise development and economic opportunities closer to Nigerians.
The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Dr Khalil Halilu, said the initiative is designed to improve livelihoods, strengthen productivity and create opportunities for individuals and businesses.
Halilu said Abia State’s strong culture of enterprise, creativity and manufacturing aligns with NASENI’s vision of driving development through Creation, Collaboration and Commercialisation.
He also expressed appreciation to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), Dr Armstrong Ume Takang, for the warm reception and collaboration that contributed to the success of the engagement in Ohafia.
According to Halilu, the essence of the initiative is to ensure that the impact of government programmes is measured not only by policies and projects, but by the lives they improve and the opportunities they create.
“For us, impact is about lives improved, businesses strengthened and opportunities created.”
He reaffirmed NASENI’s commitment to taking its programmes directly to communities and ensuring that more Nigerians benefit from opportunities in skills development, enterprise, innovation and technology.
“We will continue taking Infinite Possibilities directly to Nigerians,” Halilu said.
The engagement in Ohafia underscores NASENI’s broader efforts to connect its programmes with communities across the country and support Nigerians in turning skills, ideas and enterprise into sustainable economic opportunities.
