NCAT Zaria Graduates Participants of Human Factors, Ground Handling Safety Courses

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, has successfully graduated eleven participants of Human Factors Course No. 1 and ten participants of Ground Handling and Safety Risk Management Course No. 1.

The ceremony was officially opened by the Dean of Aviation Management School, Engr. Ishaya Akaba, who congratulated the participants on completing the courses and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained in their respective workplaces.

Mr. Mansur Pada, Course Coordinator for the Human Factors Course, reported that the two-week programme was fully sponsored by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), with all eleven participants passing their examinations and qualifying for graduation.

For the Ground Handling and Safety Risk Management Course, Mr. Shawon Zawua noted that the course ran from March 23 to April 1, 2026, and was also sponsored by the NCAA, with all ten participants successfully completing the programme.

The Deputy Rector (Academic), Capt. Jim Hassan, who represented the NCAT Rector/Chief Executive, formally declared the participants graduates of the College. In his closing remarks, he stressed that safety is paramount in aviation and urged the graduates to integrate the lessons learned into their professional duties.

The graduation ceremony was attended by key NCAT officials, including the Dean of Student Affairs, Engr. (Mrs.) Mu’azu; the Dean of Air Traffic Services and Communications (ATS/Coms) School, Mal. Nasiru Mu’azu; and the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Mr. Imoh Effiong.
