NECO releases June, July 2023 SSCE results

The National Examination Council, NECO, has released the June/July 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE, results, with 61.60% of students scoring five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics.

Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the Registrar and CEO of NECO, made the statement at the organization’s offices while briefing journalists in Minna, Niger State.

A total of 1,205,888 students registered for the exam, according to Prof. Wushishi. Out of that total, 1, 196, 985 people took the examinations, making up 616,398 men and 580,587 women.

The number of applicants who received five credits or more in the two topics decreased by 0.86% in the 2023 SSCE compared to the results of the 2022 SSCE, which were 60.74%.

Recall that 71.64% of students in the two main topics earned five credits in 2021.
