NEMA DG Zubaida Joins Top Public Relations Leaders at NIPR FCT 35th Anniversary Conference
The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, was among the distinguished personalities who attended the 35th Anniversary Conference of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), FCT Chapter, held today in Abuja.
Her presence highlighted her commitment to strengthening strategic communication, promoting ethical public relations practice, and enhancing public engagement—key pillars in effective emergency management and national development.

This year’s anniversary theme, “Leadership for Inclusive Development and National Branding,” was described as timely and relevant, especially as Nigeria seeks to deepen unity, resilience, and a cohesive national identity.
The conference featured a keynote address by renowned jurist and retired Supreme Court Justice, Justice Amina Adamu-Augie, whose insight set the tone for a series of high-level discussions on leadership, communication, and nation-building.
Also in attendance were the National President of NIPR and leading public relations practitioners from across the country, underscoring the significance of the event within Nigeria’s communication and governance ecosystem.
