New Rivers CP vows to arrest killer of DPO Angbanshim

Tunji Disu, the new Commissioner of Police for Rivers State, has vowed to apprehend Gift Okpara, the sought gang leader who is suspected of killing Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbanshim.
CP Disu ordered the command’s officers to get tough and make sure that Okpara, also known as 2-Baba, and other cult members who were causing havoc in the area were found and brought to justice.
“I want you to know that we are going to support you with all required logistics. I want you to know how important we take your job. My first assignment was to come and see you, to tell you how important you are.”

He also urged the police to help him succeed by apprehending the offenders, claiming that no one would murder a police officer and escape punishment.
CP Disu, however, cautioned the cops to exercise caution in order to prevent harm and death.
Along with his officers, the Rivers police chief also paid a visit to the Odieremenyi community, the scene of last Sunday’s five native deaths, to offer condolences and evaluate the security situation.
