Niger First Lady Leads Northern Governors’ Wives on Courtesy Visits to Zamfara Governor, Emir of Gusau
Her Excellency, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago, the First Lady of Niger State, has joined other members of the Northern Governors’ Spouses Forum on a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, at the Zamfara State Government House.
The visit, which formed part of ongoing engagements of the Forum, aimed at strengthening collaboration among Northern states in advancing initiatives focused on women, children, and vulnerable groups.
During the meeting, members of the forum presented their ongoing programmes and areas of focus, highlighting efforts being implemented across their respective states to promote social welfare and inclusive development.
The engagement was described as a platform for fostering strategic partnerships and collective action in addressing social challenges and promoting sustainable development across Northern Nigeria.
In a related development, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago and other members of the Forum also paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello, the Emir of Gusau, at his palace in Zamfara State.
The visit, which was part of their quarterly meeting activities, was aimed at strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions in advancing the welfare of women, children, and vulnerable communities.
The Emir warmly received the delegation and extended hospitality, presenting gifts to members of the visiting Forum.
The engagement highlighted the continued importance of traditional institutions in promoting unity, cultural values, and supporting development efforts across the region.
