Nigeria Dominates Africa Military Games 2024, Tops Medal Table with Record Wins
Team Nigeria has taken the lead at the ongoing 2024 Africa Military Games in Abuja, securing the first position on the medals table as of November 23, 2024. The Nigerian Armed Forces have amassed an impressive 73 medals: 37 Gold, 21 Silver, and 15 Bronze, leaving Algeria a distant second with 26 medals and Libya in third place with just nine.
In the Taekwondo event, Team Nigeria earned 11 medals, nine of which are Gold, with five coming from the Poomsae category. In football, the Nigerian Armed Forces delivered a commanding performance, defeating Equatorial Guinea 4-0 to claim third place in the male football category. Gbaa Sevan scored the opening goal, while three more goals were netted in the first and second halves to secure the victory.
The resounding success has ignited celebrations among Team Nigeria’s supporters, further solidifying the country’s dominance in the competition.
