Nigeria, Saudi Arabia Strengthen Ties on Security, Emergency Response
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Tuesday received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, on a courtesy visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations.

The meeting, held at the minister’s office in Abuja, brought together senior officials from both sides for discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
According to Tunji-Ojo, the engagement was “warm and productive,” with both parties exploring practical ways to strengthen collaboration, particularly in security, correctional service management, and emergency response systems.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts by Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to expand diplomatic and operational partnerships, especially in sectors critical to national safety and institutional development.
Both sides expressed commitment to sustaining dialogue and implementing joint initiatives that would improve capacity and efficiency in their respective systems.
