Nigeria@63: FRSC urges Nigerians to embrace safety ideals
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised Nigerians to embrace safety standards and maintain decent driving conduct as the country marks its 63rd anniversary.
The corps asked Nigerians to avoid bad driving habits and to follow all traffic rules and regulations, according to Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, Abuja, Bisi Kazeem.
According to the announcement, Corps Marshal, FRSC, Dauda Ali Biu, made the call and emphasized the need for a safe celebration.
According to him, the FRSC is aware of how much the country values its independence based on the variety of celebrations that constitute part of the celebration and cordially identifies with all citizens in this historic time.

He admonished motorists to apply all cautionary measures to achieve a crash-free 63rd Independence celebration.
Biu also gave the assurance of full deployment of operational facilities across traffic-prone areas to ensure a hitch-free movement of persons and goods.
According to him, “To forestall all incidences of mishap on the road, I have directed Commanding Officers across the country to ensure full deployment of personnel and logistics for high visibility and to ensure prompt removal of obstructions and effective traffic management.”
Biu urged motorists to dial the FRSC Toll-Free Number, 122, in the event of a crash, obstruction, or emergency in order to receive immediate assistance.
