Nigerian Armed Forces, in Partnership with US, Conduct Precision Strikes on ISIS-Linked Elements in North West
The Armed Forces of Nigeria, working alongside the United States, carried out precision strike operations targeting foreign ISIS-linked elements in parts of North West Nigeria. The operation, executed with approval from the Federal Government, forms part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorists and criminal networks threatening national security.

According to the Armed Forces, the strikes were based on credible intelligence and meticulously planned to reduce the capabilities of the targeted elements while minimizing civilian casualties. The operation reflects Nigeria’s commitment, in coordination with strategic partners, to counter transnational terrorism and prevent foreign fighters from gaining a foothold in the region.
Major General Samaila Uba, Director of Defence Information, reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ dedication to safeguarding lives and property and supporting joint and inter-agency operations to restore lasting peace across the country.
The precision strikes highlight Nigeria’s proactive approach to regional security, demonstrating continued vigilance against threats to national stability.
