Students of Nigerian Army Intelligence School Undertakes Study Tour of Nigerian Customs Service Apapa Command
In line with the academic and professional development curriculum at the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS), students from various courses embarked on a local study tour to security agencies and institutions within Lagos.
The initiative was designed familiarise students with the roles and responsibilities of different security agencies, providing them with valuable insights and knowledge.
Participating students included those enrolled in the Operational Intelligence Course, Security Investigation Officers Course, and Security Investigation Non-commissioned Officers Course.
Led by Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, the Acting Commandant of NAIS, the students’ first destination was the Headquarters of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Apapa Command. They were warmly received by Comptroller BA Jaiyeoba, who delivered a lecture on NCS Apapa’s roles and duties, followed by a guided tour of the command’s facilities.
Expressing appreciation for the opportunity, Comptroller Jaiyeoba commended NAIS for organising the study visit, underscoring the importance of strengthening the relationship between the Nigerian Customs Service and the Nigerian Army.
Brigadier General Nwoko highlighted the academic significance of the tour, “this tour is in fulfillment of the course requirements for the students, which we believe will enhance their understanding of NCS’s roles and duties, and contribute to their comprehension of various security agencies’ functions during joint internal security operations.”
Overall, the study tour provided an enriching experience, offering valuable insights and knowledge to the students, thereby contributing to their academic and professional development.
