Nigerian Army Pledges Ongoing Efforts to Address Water Shortage in Barracks
The Headquarters, 14 Brigade expresses deep concern regarding the recently circulated report by Sahara Reporters, highlighting the challenges faced by soldiers and their families due to a lack of water during the festive season at 14 Brigade Ohafia Barracks in Abia State.

The Brigade acknowledges the persisting issue of water reticulation in the barracks and affirms its unwavering commitment to addressing this concern. “Under the leadership of the current Brigade Commander, proactive measures have been taken to mitigate the impact of bad boreholes. Repair efforts have been successful, ensuring a more stable water supply. Moreover, the duration of power supply has been extended through the use of generating sets, contributing to improved living conditions for soldiers and their families,” the NA said in a messaged signed by its Acting Assistant Director, Public Relations, Lieutenant Omale Innocent Prince.
These initiatives underscore the Brigade’s dedication to prioritising the welfare and well-being of its personnel and their families.
