Nigerian Gov’t exempts fully vaccinated travelers from COVID-19 1-week isolation
The Federal Government has exempted fully vaccinated travelers from the mandatory one week isolation.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the development on Tuesday in a Facebook post.
Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee, Boss Mustapha announced the revised protocol on 15 October.
The Secretary to Government of the Federation said vaccinated in-bound passengers will only be required to do a Coronavirus (COVID-19), PCR test two days after arrival.
Mustapha noted that unvaccinated and partially vaccinated passengers must observe 7-day self-isolation and do a PCR test on days two and seven after entry.
Persons arriving on “Business” trip or on official duty staying less than 7-days must be fully vaccinated.
They are expected to produce negative PCR result 72 hours before boarding, and conduct a PCR test on day 2 in Nigeria.
