Former Senate President and National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has reassured party members and the general public that recent internal developments within the party pose no threat to its stability.

Mark gave the assurance on Wednesday in Abuja during his 78th birthday thanksgiving message, where he addressed concerns about ongoing dynamics within the party and called for calm among stakeholders.

Acknowledging that political institutions often face periods of adjustment, the ADC chairman stressed that such challenges are a natural part of growth and should not be a source of चिंता for members.

“I wish to assure our members and Nigerians at large that there is no cause for alarm—challenges are a natural part of any growing institution.

“What is important is our collective resolve to overcome them.

“We remain united, determined, and focused on strengthening the party and upholding democratic values,” he said.

He reiterated the party’s commitment to democratic ideals, noting that efforts were ongoing to strengthen internal structures and ensure that governance translates into tangible benefits for Nigerians.

Mark emphasized that discipline, integrity, and patriotism would continue to guide the party’s activities as it works to safeguard democratic institutions and promote national development.

Reflecting on his personal milestone, the former Senate President expressed unwavering commitment to national service, stating that age had only strengthened his resolve to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s progress.

“At 78, my resolve remains unshaken. I am inspired more than ever to contribute my quota to national unity, peace, and progress,” Mark added.

He also expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and guidance over the years, while appreciating the support of his family throughout his public career.

The elder statesman further extended thanks to friends, colleagues, and well-wishers, describing their encouragement as a constant source of strength during both challenging and defining moments in his journey.

His remarks come at a time when political parties across Nigeria continue to navigate internal adjustments ahead of future electoral engagements, with leaders emphasizing unity as a cornerstone for stability and growth.
