Nollywood Actress Omowumi Wahab Alleges Physical Abuse by Ex-Husband
Nollywood actress Omowumi Wahab has opened up about the abuse she endured in her marriage, revealing that her ex-husband physically assaulted her in front of her movie colleagues. The revelations came during an interview on Oyinmomo TV’s official YouTube channel.
According to Wahab, her husband’s distrust and jealousy were at the root of their troubled marriage. “Whenever a man rented an apartment in our compound, my husband would assume it was because of me and would beat me a lot,” she said.

The actress recounted a harrowing incident while on a movie set. She had gone to a nearby location for work, only for her husband to track her down. “He came to the movie set, beat me up, and tore my clothes in public,” Wahab revealed. She stressed that at the time, she had not engaged in any romantic affairs, remaining loyal throughout their marriage.
Wahab’s disclosure highlights the challenges of domestic abuse, especially when it occurs in public and within professional circles, shedding light on the need for awareness and protection for victims.
