Nollywood Veteran Lalude Recounts Chilling On-Set Experience, Says Man Who Confessed to Using Charm on His Costume Later Died
Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, popularly known as Lalude, has shared a disturbing experience from his early days in the movie industry, claiming that a man who later confessed to placing a charm on his clothing died shortly after the confession.

The actor made the revelation during an interview aired on the YouTube channel Behind During, where he reflected on a strange incident that allegedly occurred on a movie set over two decades ago.
According to Lalude, the incident happened while he was working alongside fellow actor Baba Eda. He recalled that a man was asked to bring two costumes for him to choose from for a particular role. After selecting one of the outfits, the man reportedly asked to make an adjustment and took the cloth away.
“When he brought the cloth back and I wore it, I suddenly started feeling very cold,” Lalude said. “I drank some alcohol and said prayers, then went ahead to act in the movie successfully.”
Lalude further claimed that many years later, the same man approached him and praised him for being spiritually strong before admitting that he had placed a charm on the costume he wore during that production.
The actor alleged that shortly after the confession—about one to two weeks later—the man reportedly died.
Describing the experience as “very dangerous,” Lalude said the incident left a lasting impression on him and reinforced his belief in spiritual protection and prayers, especially while working on movie sets.
The revelation has since sparked conversations online, with fans and viewers reacting to the actor’s account, which highlights long-standing beliefs and fears surrounding spiritual manipulation within the entertainment industry. Lalude’s account remains his personal testimony, shared as part of his life experiences in Nollywood.
