NSCDC Commandant General Receives NIPSS SEC 47 Graduates, Tasks Them on Mentorship, Strategic Leadership
The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, has received officers of the Senior Executive Course (SEC 47) of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, following the successful completion of their one-year executive programme.
The officers, newly inducted as Members of the National Institute, included Commandant PS Sosina, PhD, fsi, mni, and Commandant Mohammed Inuwa Usman, mni. During the visit, they formally presented their certificates to the Corps leadership and showcased projects executed during the programme, demonstrating practical applications of strategic leadership, policy formulation, innovation, and national development strategies.

Commending the officers for their dedication, discipline, and academic excellence, Professor Audi charged them to serve as role models and mentors to younger personnel within the Corps. He emphasised that the knowledge, exposure, and experience gained from NIPSS should be effectively deployed to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and support the overall growth of the NSCDC.
The Corps Helmsman further noted that continuous learning, strategic thinking, and structured mentorship are critical pillars for sustainable leadership and long-term organisational advancement, stressing that the NSCDC must continue to adapt to evolving security challenges through intellectual development and innovation.
Under the leadership of Professor Audi, the NSCDC has continued to evolve as a forward-looking security institution with a distinct identity within Nigeria’s security architecture. His administration has entrenched a culture of discipline, integrity, and professionalism, positioning the Corps to effectively respond to national security demands while setting benchmarks for operational excellence.
