The Commission Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, has reiterated the Commission’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly regulatory environment and advancing Nigeria’s gas development agenda.

Eyesan made the remarks while receiving a delegation from Nigeria LNG Limited, led by its Managing Director, Adeleye Falade, during a courtesy visit.

She described the visit as timely, noting that the Commission has intensified reforms since December to align its regulatory processes with provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act. According to her, the reforms are aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing investor confidence, and ensuring the effective implementation of policies within the oil and gas sector.

The NUPRC boss emphasized that strengthening collaboration with key industry players such as NLNG remains critical to achieving the Federal Government’s gas-to-prosperity objectives and unlocking Nigeria’s vast gas potential.

In his remarks, Falade commended the Commission for its ongoing reforms and expressed optimism about continued collaboration. He also spoke on progress around NLNG’s Train 7 project, highlighting its importance in expanding Nigeria’s liquefied natural gas production capacity and reinforcing the country’s position in the global energy market.

The engagement underscores ongoing efforts by regulators and industry stakeholders to deepen cooperation, drive investment, and accelerate growth in Nigeria’s gas sector.
