Ogun Governor lauds 35 Artillery Brigade for security efforts
The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has praised the men of 35 Artillery Brigade for their efforts in tackling the security challenges in the state.
He made the praise on the occasion of the West African Social Activities (WASA) 2023, which was held at the Alamala Barracks on 24 February 2024.
The Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako Oyedele, also pledged his continuous support to the troops and urged them to double their efforts in the face of the security threats facing the nation.
The Commander of 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General MT Aminu, in his remarks, commended the officers and soldiers of the Brigade for the successes recorded in the past year and urged them to do more in 2024.
He said, “We must continue to strengthen our operations and be proactive as well as prioritizing the welfare of our personnel.”
He also welcomed the Special Guest of Honour and other dignitaries for joining the Brigade in celebrating the WASA.
He appreciated the Nigerian Police, other security agencies and critical stakeholders for working in partnership to ensure a peaceful and crime-free Ogun State.
He assured the residents of the state of the sustenance of the adequate security provided by the Brigade and urged them to continue to share credible information that would aid the Brigade’s operations.
The WASA 2023 featured cultural troupe display, tug of war and presentation of awards to the deserving personnel of the Brigade.
The event was attended by Maj Gen OT Akinjobi (rtd) Former Chief of Operations (Army), Capt (NN) RA Raji (rtd) Former Military Administrator Bauchi State, His Majesty Oba Michael Gbadebo Aremu, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of EgbaLand, other senior officers both serving and retired, Royal Fathers within Ogun State, Chairperson 35 AB NAOWA, Heads of Security agencies and other dignitaries.
