Ojema receives delegation from Ogwule-Ogbaulu Association, assures them of good representation

PDP House of Reps candidate for Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Elections, Pst. Comr Ojotu Ojema on Sunday, 17th July 2022 at his Makurdi residence, received in an audience, a delegation from Ogwule-Ogbaulu Association, Makurdi Branch who paid him a courtesy call to congratulate him on his victory at the primary election.
Speaking while receiving the group, the immediate past Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Benue State, Comr Ojotu Ojema thanked the august visitors from his maternal home for the courtesy call, assuring them and the entire people of Apa and Agatu LGAs of quality representation if given opportunity to represent them at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
“I have come to discover that it is not true that politics is a dirty game and instrument of disunity, it is the attitude of some people that is making it dirty by making it looks as if it is an element of alienation. Politics should be a promoter of peace and unity among the people and should be played with decorum. I assure you and the entire people of the Federal Constituency that I will not fail in discharging my responsibilities creditably, wholeheartedly and diligently as the representative of the people at the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly “, Ojema said.
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the delegation, Mr Sule Yahaya( aka Asalama Lekum) said, the main purpose of their visit was to congratulate Ojema on his landslide victory at the just concluded PDP House of Reps primary of the Federal Constituency and to identify with him, being their grandson whose mother is from their community, assuring him of their total support in the forthcoming General Elections.
He paid a glowing tribute to late Ojema grandfather whom he said was their former Clan Head, describing him as a man of honour that has created an indelible mark and legacies for his descendants to inherit and which by Divine Providence, Ojema will be one of the beneficiaries.
The group eulogized the immediate past State Chairman, Joint Public Service Negotiation I, II & III and former National President, National Association of Idoma Students (NAIS) for displaying quality leadership from a very tender age right from school to this present stage, saying they were not surprised by his emergence as the flag bearer of PDP for the 2023 House of Reps election for the Federal Constituency as he is a Round Peg in a Round Hole.
Speaking separately but in the same vein, the Chairman of the Association, Mr Abdul Audu, John Olotu, ASP Ekwule, Aladan and Chairman of Agatu West Community Association Makurdi Branch all commended Pst. Ojema for quality leadership capacity, humility and uprightness, adding that the Constituency needs a representative who can stand and speak for the interest of their people at the National Assembly and Ojotu Ojema is he who the cap fits even as they assured him of their unalloyed support.
