Oluremi Tinubu Urges Nigerian Children to Build a Better Future Through Discipline, Purpose

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged children across the country to take ownership of their future in a responsible and purposeful manner, stressing that the future they desire is shaped by the choices they make today.

In her message to commemorate the 2026 Children’s Day celebration themed “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” the First Lady extended warm wishes and heartfelt love to children across the nation.

She noted that as future leaders, children should not only be viewed as leaders of tomorrow but as active participants in shaping the present.

According to her, children must remain focused, make wise decisions and use their time productively, emphasizing that a brighter future cannot be achieved through destructive or unrealistic pursuits.

Oluremi Tinubu encouraged them to build strong values anchored on character, discipline, learning and personal growth, noting that these qualities remain essential in achieving success and contributing positively to society.

The First Lady also reaffirmed the importance of inclusion and creating opportunities that ensure every Nigerian child has the chance to grow, learn and realise their full potential.
