The legendary singer and actress died on Tuesday night at Reddington Hospital in Lagos, following a sudden collapse during the birthday celebration of Mrs. Stella Okoli.
Eyewitnesses at the party revealed the heart-wrenching details. “It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today (Tuesday, July 30, 2024), and after performing, she slumped. She was taken to Reddington Hospital and she couldn’t make it,” one attendee recounted.
Despite the widespread shock and grief, Onwenu’s family has yet to release an official statement regarding her passing.
