Osun APC appreciates Tinubu over Oyebamiji’s NIWA appointment

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his appointment of Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, former state Commissioner for Finance, as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
The appointment of Oyebamiji who is also the former Managing Director of Osun State Investment Limited (OSICOL) was announced by the Presidency on Wednesday.
In his remark, the Osun State APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the state capital on Thursday, stated that Oyebamiji, an Economist with the private sector experience spanning 28 years and public sector of about one decade, was well deserved.
The state APC chairman explained that he was convinced that the newly-appointed NIWA MD/CEO would add value to his new office based on his past track record.
He recalled how Oyebamiji has been a steady and loyal ally of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, even when the latter was the Osun State governor.

Lawal hinted that the appointment of Oyebamiji was a product of hard work, resilience, and dedication to duty.
He stated that President Tinubu would not regret the choice of Oyebamiji as the NIWA MD/CEO as he is a tested and trusted hand capable of driving his Renewed Hope Agenda.
Lawal also expressed his gratitude to the Marine Minister for his confidence in Oyebamiji which necessitated his recommendation to President Tinubu and subsequently resulted in his new appointment.
In the state APC chairman’s words: “On behalf of my family, the state executive officers of our party, and all our party members in Osun State, I am congratulating Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji on his appointment as the NIWA MD/CEO by the nation’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The appointment is an indication that hard work and loyalty pay which is what is manifesting in the case of Oyebamiji.
“May Allah grant the new NIWA MD/CEO good health, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding required to excel in his new appointment in the interest of the nation”, Lawal prayed.
