Residents of Erinmo-Ijesa town in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State have called the attention of Governor Ademola Adeleke and all the security personnel to the sporadic shooting at Erinmo Prayer Mountain by hoodlums reportedly working for the Late Prophet Odeyemi Joseph Bojesomo family.
The Erinmo-Ijesa Council of Chiefs in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday evening warned the sponsor of the attack to desist immediately while the people should be informed that the prayer mountain is a place of prayer and worship to God Almighty and it is consecrated for that purpose only.
“We are also laying emphasis that the Erinmo-Ijesa Prayer Mountain is not a burial ground but a Holy land mainly for prayers and deliverance.
“We are using this medium to warn the people behind the sporadic shooting this evening to desist and stop thinking of fomenting trouble in the ancient town as Erinmo-Ijesa has been known as a completely peaceful and law-abiding town.
“We also want to commend the effort of the Police in the area for arresting some of the hoodlums who are already in their custody.
“Similarly, there is a movement restriction to and from the mountain until a peaceful resolution is reached” the statement added.
