Pastor Alex Ogundipe Inaugurates Couple’s Forum …Frowns Against Divorce
The Peculiar Mega Youth Chapel of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Dakibiyu District, Kubwa Branch, Abuja has inaugurated her Couples’ Forum.
The resident Pastor, Pastor Femi Akinfenwa, welcoming participants to the event, appreciated God for His mercies, emphasising the need to deliberately cultivate a God-centred family, with the help of God.
Involving a blend of married couples from varied background, experiences and various chapels of the church, the event featured various Christian based couple’s game, panel discussion, wining and dining.
In a brief message preceding his inauguration of the forum, the Senior Pastor, Special Apostle Alex Ogundipe adminished the gathering to respect the sanctity of marriage, because God takes interest in it.
He highlighted as seven seeds which he refered to as reasons for marriage. “These seven seeds, companionship, communion, communication, conjugation, co-creation, celebration and charity are critical in every union and must be observe in other to have a healthy family.”
Pastor Ogundipe added that the society looks up to the family, and that we cannot afford to disappoint, hence, we must continue to lead by example, especially for the younger ones coming behind us. And the good of the society, of which the family is its smallest unit.
Responding to a question during the panel, on the increasing rate of divorce, in our society today, he responded that “mutual respect is critical. I support separation, not divorce. Separation for a while, to help couples understand how important they are to each other might be important I’m my opinion, and help avoid divorce.”
