Police IRT Arrest Suspect in Osun, Investigation Ongoing
Operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested Mr. Adeniyi Adeyemi in Osun State.
The arrest was confirmed on Tuesday by the Personal Assistant to the Force Public Relations Officer, Aminu Koji, in a brief statement made available to journalists.
“We have just confirmed the arrest of Mr. Adeniyi Adeyemi by a team of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Osun State,” Koji stated.
Although the Nigeria Police Force has yet to disclose the circumstances surrounding the arrest, security sources said the operation was carried out by the elite investigative unit as part of ongoing law enforcement activities in the state.
The Intelligence Response Team (IRT) is a specialised unit of the Nigeria Police Force responsible for intelligence gathering, investigation of high-profile criminal cases and operations targeting violent crimes and other security-related offences across the country.
