Police Service Commission Approves Appointment and Posting of 10 State Command CPs

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has granted approval for the appointment and posting of Commissioners of Police to 10 State Commands across the federation. This decision follows the recent promotion of 14 Deputy Commissioners of Police to the substantive rank of Commissioners.

The newly appointed State Commissioners of Police and their respective postings are as follows:
Peter Ukachi Opara: Former Deputy Commissioner, Administration in Imo State, now posted to Osun State.
Olugbemiga Emmanuel Adesina: Posted to Benue State.
Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, mni: Assigned to Ekiti State Command.
Mohammed Umar Abba: Takes charge of Adamawa State Command.
CP Beneth Igwe, mni: Returns to the Federal Capital Territory Command as the Commissioner in charge.
Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi: Former CP Force Secretary’s office, now posted to Delta State Command.
Ademola Waheed Ayilara: Former DCP State CID Lagos Command, now heads the Akwa Ibom State Command.
David Iloyanomon: Former DCP Administration Anambra State Command, posted to head Taraba State Command.
Abayomi Oladipo Peter: Takes over Ondo State Command.
Hassan Abdu Yabnet: Assumes the role of CP, Plateau State Command.
Addressing the new Command Commissioners of Police, PSC Chairman, Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, retired Inspector General of Police, “the need for rebuilding public trust through robust partnerships with the public cannot be overemphasised. So, I must warn that the Commission would not accept any excuse for a failure to provide effective and efficient leadership.”
Dr. Arase assured the new appointees of continued support from the Commission but cautioned them that the security of lives and properties in their respective areas of jurisdiction should not be taken for granted.
