He will participate in a high-level panel session titled “Rules of the Game: Data Sovereignty, AI Governance, and Continental Strategy,” where discussions will focus on Africa’s role in shaping global frameworks around artificial intelligence, data protection, and digital infrastructure.

Professor Ademola’s inclusion in the summit programme underscores the growing recognition of African expertise in global conversations on emerging technologies. His work in digital sovereignty, cybersecurity strategy, and AI governance has positioned him as a leading voice in articulating Africa’s technological priorities within international policy spaces.

Organisers of the LSE Africa Summit said the panel reflects the urgency of developing continent-driven approaches to digital governance, particularly as nations worldwide grapple with the implications of rapid technological advancement.

Beyond his participation as a panelist, Professor Ademola is also expected to deliver the debate synthesis, a role that signals confidence in his analytical depth and ability to distil complex discussions into actionable insights.

The summit, now in its tenth year, continues to serve as a platform for African thought leaders, policymakers, and scholars to engage on critical issues shaping the continent’s future. Observers note that Ademola’s selection highlights a broader shift toward centring African voices in defining the rules that will govern the digital age.

His participation is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to ensure that Africa is not merely a participant in global technology conversations, but a key architect of its direction.
