Reps member tasks constituents on unity
A member representing the people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Honourable Ojema Ojotu, has urged the people of his constituency to remain united in order to move forward and achieve a common goal.
Hon Ojotu gave this advice in an exclusive interview with OURNIGERIA on Wednesday in Abuja, saying that the prospect of any peaceful society hinges on unity.
According to him, for growth and development to thrive in Apa/Agatu, the people must see one another as one indivisible entity regardless of where each person comes from.
He said unity was the only tool to fight against the rate of insecurity bedeviling the people of Apa/Agatu of Benue state, and to boost agriculture which is the main occupation of the people, adding that he had liaised with the Inspector-General of Police to nip in the bud the prevalent security challenges.

The lawmaker advocated for soft loans for peasant farmers in the area so as to ensure food security in the entire country.
He, therefore, called for compensation of farmers in the instance of loss of farm produce to flooding as obtainable in the developed countries of the world, arguing that farmers contribute a significant percentage to the growth of any society as far as food security is concerned.
He said the 10th National Assembly is poised to enact laws that would create a conducive environment for farmers to go about their farming activities without the fear of being attacked.
He expressed his readiness to represent and serve the people of Apa/Agatu without reservation, asking for their support to enable him to give a good representation.
