Rufai Oseni Debunks Suspension Rumours, Says He Is on Approved Leave
Nigerian broadcaster Rufai Oseni has dismissed claims circulating on social media that he was suspended by Arise TV, clarifying that he is currently on a scheduled leave.

Oseni made the clarification on Friday in a series of posts on X, describing the rumours as baseless fabrications spread by individuals seeking attention online. He noted that his leave was publicly announced on air before he took time off.
“I was not suspended. The lies and fabrications are terrible. Social media na wa,” he wrote.
In a separate post, the journalist explained that he took the break after working consistently for about a year and intends to resume once he completes his rest period.
“I have worked for about a year and I decided to go on leave. After I rest small I go return. I love you all,” he added.
Oseni further stated that viewers were informed of his leave at the start of his break, two Thursdays ago, emphasizing that there is verifiable evidence to counter the false suspension narrative.
“At the start of my leave on Thursday last two weeks, it was announced on TV I went on leave. Empirical facts dey, so data bois that lied about suspension una jam Zuma rock,” he wrote.
The broadcaster is expected to return to his duties upon the completion of his approved leave.
