Security Forces Arrest Notorious Abuja Kidnap Kingpin in Bwari
Security forces have apprehended a suspected kidnap kingpin and major logistics supplier to bandits, identified as Y’au Ibrahim Dauda, popularly known as Gwandara 01.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the arrest was carried out by the Scorpion Squad at about 5:40 p.m. on Thursday in the Bwari area following what officials described as “actionable intelligence.”

Authorities believe Dauda has links to multiple kidnapping cases across Abuja’s outskirts, particularly in Bwari. His arrest is considered a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks terrorizing communities in the Federal Capital Territory.
Security officials say investigations are ongoing.
