Senator Oyewumi mourns five UNIOSUN students killed in road crash

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, Ph.D has expressed deep grief over the untimely death of five students of the Osun State University, UNIOSUN on Sunday in a fatal road accident which occurred at Balogun area, before Unity School in Ikire.
Senator Oyewumi in his condolence message personally signed and made available to newsmen extended his heartfelt condolences to Governor Ademola Adeleke of the state, the management of the UNIOSUN and grieving families of the students, describing the loss as an unimaginable tragedy.
“As a father, I know what it means to lose a beloved child most especially in this kind of unfortunate circumstances.
“This is not a loss to Osun State alone, the entire nation has lost a generation of future leaders.
“I pray to the Almighty Allah to grant the souls of the departed eternal rest while my hearth goes out to you in this darkest of moments. No words can fully convey the pain of losing a loved one. To the parents, I share in your sorrow and pray that God grants you the strength to bear this irreparable loss” Senator Oyewumi said.
Senator Oyewumi who represents Osun West Senatorial District however prays for the quick recovery of the survivors of the accident and admonished motorists to always comply with traffic rules and avoid overspeeding.
