Speaking on the need for national cohesion, Senator Tinubu noted that many Nigerian leaders are highly respected and honoured internationally, yet often face hostility and ridicule at home. She lamented that negative narratives fueled by political interests have caused some citizens to unfairly attack, demean, and publicly mock leaders, especially on social media.
According to her, this culture of hostility weakens national spirit and undermines development.
She emphasized that Nigeria was founded on love, unity, and shared responsibility, urging citizens to move away from hatred and division.
“Our country can only grow when we come together, support our leaders, and work hand in hand toward shared success,” she said.
The First Lady encouraged Nigerians to focus on nation-building, promote positive dialogue, and contribute meaningfully to making Nigeria a stronger and greater country.
