Terrorists Ambush Nigerian Troops on Student Rescue Mission in Kebbi State
Several Nigerian soldiers sustained injuries after terrorists ambushed a military team on a mission to rescue students kidnapped from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State.
The attack came just a day after the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, ordered troops of Operation Fasan Yamma to intensify efforts against the bandits responsible for the abduction. Shaibu had instructed troops to carry out continuous day-and-night operations, using intelligence to guide decisive action. “Once you receive information on something like this, act professionally and decisively. This is not just about our image; it is about doing our job properly,” he said.
