TETFund board of trustees visits OSCOTECH, welcomes development

Osun State College of Technology (OSCOTECH), Esa-Oke on Thursday played host to a significant delegation from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) including a member Board of Trustees, Honourable Sunday Adepoju, accompanied by the Zonal Coordinator, Engr Dr Lukman Taiwo,
The visit which was part of their familiarization tour across the nation’s geopolitical zones was also part of a broader initiative by TETFund to strengthen engagement with beneficiary institutions, and to review ongoing interventions, and reinforce the collaboration between the Trust Fund and the institutions it supports.
The visit, which commenced in May 2025 across different states, aims to bring zonal trustees face-to-face with the real-time impact and challenges of projects funded under the scheme.
At OSCOTECH, the reception was held in the Rector’s conference room which had in attendance the institution management team led by the Rector, Mr S A Adewumi as it featured a structured but warm program.
From a formal introduction to a welcome address by the rector, the engagement reflected both pride in progress and clarity in purpose while a brief but informative presentation was made on various TETFund-support projects, showcasing content-based interventions, infrastructural developments, and capacity-building programs.
Highlights included current project status, recorded milestones, and areas where further support may be needed.
Member board of trustees representing the region, alongside the accompanying delegates, also gave insightful remarks, reaffirming TETFund’s commitment to educational advancement and sustainable project delivery.
The team later proceeded on a tour of ongoing and completed project sites within the institution, assessing progress firsthand where resounding commendations were offered, the member board of trustees did not mince words by appreciating the institution’s commitment at making sure that all projects started were concluded, as he did not observe any abandoned project.
Of significance was the feet of OSCOTECH at the Technology and innovation Fair tagged Abuja 2021 for tertiary institutions across the country where we made history by coming second only to University of Agriculture Umohia and first among all the polytechnics in Nigeria which is a testament to our advancement in technology and innovation coinciding with our motto, Technology for a sustainable development.
This visit not only marks a milestone in TETFund’s accountability and institutional outreach but also reaffirms OSCOTECH’s dedication to academic excellence, infrastructural growth, and collaborative partnership for national development.
