Thailand Introduces Futuristic Robotic Patrol Units for Smart Policing
The Royal Thai Police has introduced advanced robotic patrol units designed to support human officers in high-traffic and high-risk areas as part of efforts to modernise public safety operations.
The futuristic robots are equipped with 360-degree vision systems and real-time facial recognition technology capable of scanning crowds and identifying persons of interest, suspects, or missing individuals within seconds.
According to authorities, the robotic units are intended to strengthen “smart policing” by improving surveillance capabilities, boosting emergency response times, and reducing the operational burden on officers.
