The men, who reportedly believed the vessel was bound for Europe—possibly Britain, Canada, or Spain—ended up in Nigeria after spending approximately five days at sea.
Investigations revealed that the stowaways climbed into the ship from a canoe while it was still in Ivorian waters. They carried basic supplies including gari, water, biscuits, and sugar to sustain themselves during the journey.
Immigration officials have taken custody of the individuals, and further assessments are being conducted to determine the next course of action regarding their status and repatriation.
