Three Nigerian Students to Represent Country at International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale in Rome

Three outstanding students from Southeast Nigeria are set to represent the country at the Grand Finale of the International STEM Olympiad in Rome after emerging winners of the Southeast STEM Mathematics Olympiad.

The students secured their places at the international competition after outperforming more than 11,500 contestants from across the Southeast region.

Representing schools from Owerri and Enugu, the young mathematicians will showcase Nigeria’s talent, innovation and problem-solving abilities on the global stage.

Their qualification is being celebrated as a testament to the academic excellence, determination and critical thinking skills of Nigerian students, highlighting the country’s growing potential in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The achievement also reinforces the belief that with the right opportunities and support, Nigerian students can compete successfully with their peers around the world.
