Describing the incidents as “barbaric and cowardly,” the President said the killings and abductions were an affront to national values, vowing that those responsible would be brought to justice.

“Anyone who will sneak under the cover of the night and kill defenceless citizens is a heartless coward,” Tinubu said, noting that such attacks are often aimed at provoking reprisals and escalating violence.

The President directed security agencies to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators and also warned against the spread of misinformation capable of inflaming tensions. He cautioned sections of the media against framing the incidents along religious lines without verified evidence.

Tinubu reaffirmed that security forces are actively addressing the situation and stressed the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace. He urged residents to comply with safety directives, including evacuation and relocation measures where necessary.

He also called for proactive intelligence gathering to prevent future attacks and ordered that all remaining abductees from the Kaduna incident be rescued without delay, while welcoming reports of the safe return of two victims.

The President commended Caleb Mutfwang and Uba Sani for their response efforts, assuring both states of federal support.

Tinubu further disclosed that the government is investing in advanced security equipment to enhance the capacity of agencies to track and neutralise criminal elements in real time.

He extended condolences to the families of victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attacks.
