President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to embrace the values of sacrifice, compassion, unity and national development.

In his Eid message released on Tuesday, the President described the celebration as a reminder of the enduring virtues demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, particularly faith, obedience and willingness to make sacrifices for a higher purpose.

According to him, Eid-el-Kabir calls on Nigerians and the global community to reflect on the importance of selflessness, compassion and service to humanity regardless of religion, ethnicity or background.

The President noted that the nation was currently undergoing a process of reconstruction and renewal, stating that reforms introduced by his administration, though challenging, were necessary for building a stronger and more prosperous country.

He expressed optimism over the direction of the economy, saying the sacrifices made over the past three years had contributed to greater stability and increased investor confidence capable of driving economic growth and job creation.

Tinubu also reassured Nigerians of his administration’s determination to tackle insecurity across the country, acknowledging that despite ongoing efforts by security and intelligence agencies, some communities continue to face attacks from terrorists and bandits.

He assured affected communities that the government remained committed to confronting criminal elements and restoring peace and stability nationwide.

The President further urged Muslim faithful to use the Eid celebration to pray for the country, peace in communities and wisdom for leaders at all levels.

He also encouraged Nigerians to extend support to the less privileged and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and unity among citizens.

Reaffirming his administration’s priorities, Tinubu said the government would continue investments in security, infrastructure, agriculture and human capital development to unlock Nigeria’s potential and improve citizens’ well-being.

He wished Muslims a peaceful, joyous and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration, while praying for continued peace and progress in the country.
