Tinubu sues for peace, unity
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has sued for peace, unity and cohesion of Nigeria, saying it is the only panacea for a greater country Nigerians yearn and aspire for.
Tinubu gave this advice on Wednesday in Abuja at the unveiling of the former governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima as the Vice-Presidential candidate of the party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The former Lagos state governor, who said it was a divine arrangement for him to become the party’s flag bearer in the 2023 presidential election, expressed gratitude to the party for the rare privilege given to him and the endorsement of Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
Reiterating that he and the running mate have what it takes to take Nigeria to a greater height, Tinubu tasked Nigerians to support the APC so as to actualize the dream.
According to him, they are capable, competent and able to fix Nigeria to become the country the past heroes, citizens and the posterity yearn and aspire for.
The presidential candidate urged Nigerians to vote for the APC for emancipation from the dungeon of poverty, unemployment, insecurity and every other ill that has eaten deeply into the fabrics of the nation, saying that they will not fail Nigeria and Nigerians if given the mandate to pilot the affairs of the country.
Tinunu charged all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to use the country’s diversity for prosperity and not an instrument of division, describing Nigeria as a great nation.
‘You are a great people. We are a great people. We can turn this nation around from destitution to prosperity.’
According to him, unity is a tool to break the shackles of division, poverty and intolerance capable of reviving the lost glory of the country.
