Tinubu Swears In Abel Enitan as New Head of Civil Service of the Federation
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Abel Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), following the retirement of Didi Esther Walson-Jack from the Federal Civil Service.
The brief swearing-in ceremony was held at the State House, Abuja, with President Tinubu formally inaugurating Enitan into his new position.
Enitan, an indigene of Osun State, succeeds Walson-Jack, who retired after attaining the statutory retirement age of 60.
Prior to his appointment, Enitan was the most senior Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service and had served in that capacity for approximately seven years and seven months.
His public service career has taken him through several key government institutions, including the Ministry of Police Affairs, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, the Office of the Vice President and the Federal Ministry of Education.
With his extensive experience across various arms of the Federal Government, Enitan assumes responsibility for providing administrative leadership and coordinating the Federal Civil Service.
Born on December 12, 1966, the new Head of Civil Service brings decades of experience in public administration to the position.
His appointment comes as the Federal Government continues efforts to strengthen efficiency, professionalism, accountability and service delivery across the Nigerian public service.
