Tinubu Swears In Justice Kekere-Ekun as Nigeria’s 23rd Chief Justice
President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria, pending her confirmation by the Senate.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, where Justice Kekere-Ekun took the oath of office and signed the oath register at precisely 11:40 a.m. on Friday.
Justice Kekere-Ekun succeeds Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, who assumed the role of Chief Justice on June 27, 2022, and stepped down on Thursday after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70.
