President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in new federal commissioners for the National Population Commission (NPC) and the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Among those inaugurated into the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission are former Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Abdullahi Mukhtar Mohammed, representing Kaduna State, and Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State.

The President also inaugurated six new commissioners for the National Population Commission.

The newly sworn-in NPC commissioners are Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi (Ekiti State), Nasiru Mu’azu (Zamfara State), Isaka Alada Yahaya (Kwara State), Prof. Sadiq Isah Radda (Katsina State), Suleiman Umar (Jigawa State), and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo (Sokoto State).

The appointments are expected to strengthen the operations of both commissions, with the National Population Commission responsible for population data management and census activities, while the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission oversees revenue allocation and fiscal matters among the three tiers of government.
